The vehicle manufacturer from Sarpsborg has formed a partnership with the Sarpsborg 08 football club. This collaboration will see their popular electric vehicle prominently featured around the city, decked out in the new Sarpsborg 08 team colors. Sporting the 08 crest, Trond Aasheim will be driving it with a wide smile. At every home game, the vehicle will be used for various tasks such as selling team merchandise, delivering concession stand goods, transporting equipment, and running errands throughout Sarpsborg.
“I already love driving this,”
Trond Aasheim, volunteer and passionate supporter at Sarpsborg 08
Tønnesen on the collaboration: “At 08, we aim to do what we can to improve the environment in and around Sarpsborg. Therefore, it’s perfect for us to use a Paxster in our daily operations. We can use it around the stadium and for various short trips around our city. We also hope the Paxster gets noticed and that more local businesses will be encouraged to adopt these electric vehicles.”
“We both share a common interest in making sustainable choices, and it feels good when the local community comes together to help make the world a slightly better place.”
Cathrine Lund, Paxster AS
Shared focus on the environment
The model is a Paxster Cargo, which previously served as a postal vehicle for six years. It was then bought back by Paxster and completely disassembled. Every screw and nut has been inspected, the chassis sandblasted, and piece by piece, it has been rebuilt into a vehicle that is as good as new. This fits very well with Sarpsborg 08’s sustainability profile.
