Tønsberg church council, responsible for maintaining 13 cemeteries across the city, has turned to greener alternatives to optimise its operations. By incorporating an electric vehicle into its daily routines, the council has enhanced both efficiency and its focus on environmental sustainability. The choice of a small electric vehicle has become a key factor in facilitating easier and more eco-friendly movement of both personnel and equipment.
Streamlining with electric transport
Head of department Bent Hansen enthusiastically shares how the transition to the Paxster Utility has enabled them to work far more efficiently than before: “We wanted to find an alternative to regular car use, which previously seemed unnecessary and resource-intensive given our proximity to each other. With eight of our cemeteries within a ten-kilometre radius, the Paxster eCompact allows us to swiftly and efficiently navigate through densely trafficked areas while maintaining our operational efficiency.”
One single vehicle for all tasks
As the vehicle is road legal, it can be utilised for tasks within the cemeteries as well as for moving between different locations. It also facilitates running errands outside the area. Here, they save both time and money.
Hansen particularly points out how user-friendly their eCompact is:
“The vehicle is extremely easy to drive and handle, and its sleek design makes it easy to manoeuvre. This allows us to accomplish more work in less time.”
The shift to Paxster not only leads to more efficient operations but also underscores a stronger commitment to environmentally friendly solutions. By reducing reliance on traditional petrol or diesel vehicles, Tønsberg Church Council actively contributes to a greener future, aligning with broader societal goals of sustainability and environmental awareness.
In their pursuit of delivering efficient and eco-friendly services, Tønsberg Church Council stands as an example of how traditional tasks can be transformed with modern technology, and how small changes can have significant impacts both locally and globally.
