When the organisers of the Fredrikstad Cup decided to deploy the Paxster eCompact for various tasks at this year’s event, they certainly didn’t regret it. Hosting Norway’s largest handball cup, the event annually gathers thousands of young participants for thrilling matches and a spectacular concert that this year attracted over 12,000 visitors.
Remarkable efficiency
The introduction of the eCompact proved to be a significant time-saver. It was the first year the Paxster was used at the cup, but it quickly became a favourite among the team. “The biggest surprise was just how much time we actually saved,” the organisers shared, noting that everything from equipment to concession goods was transported swiftly and effortlessly.
“We were able to work silently through the evening and into the night without disturbing the local residents,”
Lars Olsen, Sport Manager
Agile across all terrains
The eCompact was also perfectly suited to the diverse terrain of the event area. With its sleek and narrow design, it easily navigated through tight passages, large crowds, and more challenging areas like wooded edges. “The Paxster felt steady and secure, even on uneven ground,” said a pleased Olsen, who drove the vehicle throughout the event.
Front and rear storage – brilliant!
The storage spaces at the front and back of the eCompact were especially practical. “The front storage area was brilliant on windy days; papers and small items stayed put without blowing away,” Olsen noted. The rear cargo area was used to transport tools and essential equipment for minor repairs and tasks around the venue, also simplifying waste management.
Road-legal and convenient
The Paxster eCompact is also road legal with a top speed of 60 km/h, which meant the same vehicle could be used for transporting equipment to and from the main warehouse, a few kilometres away. “It was incredibly convenient not having to switch vehicles for different tasks,” Olsen concluded.
This practical application of the Paxster eCompact at Fredrikstad Cup not only improved efficiency but also demonstrated the potential of small electric vehicles in managing large-scale events smoothly.
